Does the gas company need an account opening fee?

There is no account opening fee for gas companies.

The gas opening fee belongs to the category of arbitrary charges, and there is no relevant regulation on gas opening and gas opening fee. These fees are all supporting fees for urban infrastructure, which developers have already paid when they buy land, otherwise they cannot go through the planning and project establishment procedures in accordance with state regulations. These fees have been included in the house price and cannot be charged repeatedly in any name.

The opening process is as follows:

1. Applicants who need to go through the formalities of opening natural gas must first install qualified natural gas cookers at home and ask specialized personnel to install them. Applicants for opening an account should remember to get a certificate for cooking stoves.

2. After installing the natural gas usable stove, the applicant needs to go to the residential property to handle the installation of natural gas certificate.

3. After issuing the certificate, bring your own certificate and ID card, household registration book and proof of real estate license to the gas company to open an account.

4. After accepting the account opening request of the account holder, the gas company will sign a safe gas supply agreement with the account holder, at which time the account holder needs to pay a certain account opening fee.

5. After all the formalities are completed, the gas company will come to the door to install the natural gas pipeline for the account opening applicant within seven working days and start to supply gas.

Gas users shall abide by the rules for safe use of gas, use qualified gas burning appliances and gas cylinders, promptly replace gas burning appliances and connecting pipes that have been explicitly eliminated by the state or whose service life has expired, and pay gas fees within the agreed time limit. Unit gas users should also establish and improve the safety management system, and strengthen the training of gas safety knowledge and operation skills for operation and maintenance personnel.
