Does the management office have the right not to take over the elevator installed by the owner himself?

Residential owners need conditions to install elevators by themselves. If these conditions are met, the property management office will still manage it.

It is acceptable to add elevators to old residential buildings as long as three conditions are met.

First, it can provide effective construction land approval documents or real estate ownership documents;

Second, the design of the added elevator room is reasonable, which will not affect the ventilation, lighting and structural safety of the original house, and meet the professional management requirements of building retreat, urban landscape, fire protection and so on;

Third, the addition of elevators was publicized before the on-site examination and approval, and there was no valid objection, or according to the relevant provisions of the Property Law of People's Republic of China (PRC), the exclusive part accounted for more than two-thirds of the total construction area and more than two-thirds of the total number of owners agreed.
