According to the plan, Kemen Port Area covers an area of 63 square kilometers in the near future and 100 square kilometers in the long term. The living area is planned in Guanling area and extends to Chengguan. The total length of the coastline is about 30 kilometers (from Xinhui to Fuxi), and the south bank line is about 9.4 kilometers, and 38 docks can be built, including 26 docks above 10,000 tons, and the west bank line is about 18.9 kilometers, and 50 docks can be built, including 25 berths for 50,000-ton container terminals. The 40,000-mu Daguanban Reclamation Area and the vast Matou Plain behind it have the natural advantages of undertaking large-scale coastal industries and logistics enterprises such as petroleum, chemical industry, steel and electricity, and are the first choice for Fujian Province to develop large-scale port-facing industries in the future. It is an ideal place for Mawei Port in Fuzhou to expand to Minjiang Estuary. According to the expert's suggestion, a deep-water berth will be built on the artificial coast of Liandao between Zhuji Island and Ishikawa Island. After the completion of the island-connecting project, it will play a role in blocking the hot metal channel, concentrate the branch channel water flow on the main channel of Ishikawa, increase the hydrodynamic force of the main channel, and scour the channel, and the water depth of the channel can reach more than 12 meters. The island-connecting project, combined with dredging of waterway and harbor basin, can reclaim land by blowing sand for 4 square kilometers, providing land for port construction.
