Antique renovation must reflect its original historical features, not simply coloring and cornices. In order to do a good job in the antique renovation of Yuhua Road, Baoding City specially hired consultants. On both sides of the ancient lotus pond, there are many commercial scrolls, plaques at the door are in a mess, and all kinds of advertisements are overwhelming. In this renovation, all stores removed advertising facilities in a unified way, and frontispiece was unified as crimson, covering the gently sloping roof. All the storefronts are wooden calligraphy plaques with gold characters on a black background, which look beautiful and atmospheric.

According to the distribution of cultural relics in different areas, the transformation also has different emphasis. The western section (Hengxiang Street-Zhili Governor's Office) is a commercial service section; The middle section (zhili governor's office-crossing Loujie) is the section with the most concentrated cultural relics and the characteristics of a historical city; The eastern section (crossing Loujie-Changcheng South Street) is a composite leisure characteristic section. In the retro transformation, the middle building fully embodies the "Ming and Qing style, gray walls and gray tiles", and the east and west sections take it as the keynote, and on the basis of maintaining harmony with the middle section, they gradually transition from the middle to the sides to the modern style.
