Problems and Shortcomings in Laoshan Education

At present, there are two main problems in Laoshan education. One is the insufficient allocation of educational resources, and the school construction lags behind the speed of urban development and construction. First, from Maidao to Shandongtou, due to sporadic development in history, small-scale residential areas have been built one after another, but school planning and construction have not kept up. With the renovation and demolition of Sanmai Island, 48 classes of Damaidao Primary School have been designated in the new regulations. Last year, according to the new demand and population density, we planned 1 junior high school with 24 classes. Second, in the Laoshan administrative area of Fushan New District, Lu Xin Changchun Garden, Haier dongcheng international and other new residential areas belong to the fixed area of Fushan New District, and relevant municipal departments are responsible for the construction of supporting schools in this area. A number of schools have been planned in this area, such as primary schools near dongcheng international community and Hefei Road School. We are actively coordinating relevant municipal departments to speed up the construction of supporting schools. It is understood that 42 classes of primary schools planned near Haier dongcheng international Community have been included in the construction plan and are currently going through the preliminary construction procedures. In the case that the planning of supporting schools is not completed, the enrollment of registered students in Laoshan District is uniformly distributed to other primary schools by the education authorities.

The second is the quality of education and teaching. This problem can be said to be congenital deficiency and the foundation is very weak. Although, in recent years, we have done a lot of work, especially in hardware construction, education equalization and the construction of teachers. If we continue to strengthen hardware construction and complete the reconstruction and expansion of 9 schools including Laoshan No.3 Middle School, we are implementing the reconstruction and expansion project of 10 schools such as Laoshan No.1 Middle School, Experimental Primary School and Shazikou Central Primary School, and invested more than 68 million yuan to take the lead in completing rural primary and secondary education in the city. Continuously strengthen the construction of teaching staff, and openly recruit 1 12 backbone teachers and outstanding university graduates in 2009 alone. At the same time, parent schools have been established to improve the quality of parents' education. It can be said that these measures have also achieved remarkable results. In 2009, our district successfully established "Shandong Education Demonstration Zone". The establishment rate of standardized schools in all provinces and cities in the region has reached 78%, and this figure will reach 87% by the end of this year, and the task of establishing standardized schools has basically been completed; The number of college entrance examination students is increasing year by year. In 2009, the number of undergraduate college entrance examinations in our region reached 537, an increase of 27%, and the undergraduate college entrance examination rate was close to 50%.
