Where is Wanyuan Guanyin Gorge?

Guanyin Gorge is located in Wanyuan City, Sichuan Province, 5 kilometers away from the urban area, with a total area of 25 square kilometers. It borders Shaanxi and Nantong Chongqing in the north. On the cliff, traces of the ancient plank road are faintly visible. The shouts of businessmen walking on the plank road seemed to echo yesterday, and the reverberation was lingering. A kind of historical desolation and massiness make Guanyin Gorge look ancient and distant. Now, the ancient plank road has become a thing of the past. A highway passes through a mountain from a canyon, and cars pass through a cliff like a tiger's mouth. In the past, the plank road started from the cliff, but now the Shu road is no longer difficult to walk.

On the other side of the river, the mountain peaks stand upright. From the bottom of the river to the clouds. A naturally formed mountain like Guanyin statue appeared in front of us. Seen from a distance, Guanyin Bodhisattva is quiet, serene and dignified. Legend has it that many years ago, when a woman who was pregnant in October was crossing the canyon, she suddenly had a terrible stomachache and knew she was going to give birth. So, she knelt in front of Guanyin statue three times and begged Guanyin Bodhisattva to bless the mother and son. As a result, my stomach really stopped hurting. Then she fell asleep. When I woke up, I didn't expect to sleep in my own bed. A white chubby boy has been lying in his arms. In order to thank Guanyin for her kindness and compassion, people built a Kannonji near the statue of Guanyin. Later, due to disrepair, it gradually disappeared. But today, we can still see the stone traces left by the former site of Kannonji. Guanyin gorge was named after it.

Nature's contribution is not limited to this, and the sleeping image of an old man is even more amazing. From a distance, a kind old man is lying on his back in the mountains. The nose, eyes, forehead and mouth are very realistic. The appearance is serene and smiling. People have to praise the wonders of nature.
