What are the landmark buildings of China Renmin University?

In the campus map of China, the area of Renmin University is not very large. Someone once jokingly asked, "Do you know why the campus of the National People's Congress is so small?" Answer: "because of the National People's Congress ~". Although the above jokes are just jokes, as a university with a focus on humanities and social sciences, the strength of the school lies not in the campus area, but in historical accumulation and humanistic quality. Among the many buildings in our school, I chose three buildings that I think are the most distinctive to introduce:

The first is Mingde Construction Group. Mingde is the virtue of light, which comes from the first sentence of "University": the way of a university is to be mingde for Ming, to be close to the people for Ming, and to stop at perfection. The building of the West Gate of the National People's Congress in Mingde Building covers an area of about 38,000 square meters, where several departments are gathered, such as the School of Finance and Economics in Mingde Main Building, the School of Law in Mingde Law Building, the Business School in Mingde Business Building, the School of Journalism in Mingde News Building and the School of International Relations in Mingde International Building. It can be explained that German architecture is a building complex with high intelligence density.

Followed by the Century Pavilion. The Century Pavilion is the gymnasium of the National People's Congress, which will be used as a training venue during the Olympic Games. The National People's Congress has always been a place to train senior management talents. The appearance of the century pavilion symbolizes "official" and "talent", and looks like a doctor's hat from another angle. Century Pavilion consists of multi-function hall, volleyball hall, basketball hall, tennis hall, table tennis hall, gym, aerobics room and multimedia classroom. The Century Pavilion is also used as an auditorium for the annual opening ceremony and graduation ceremony. The property company in Renmin University is called "Century Mingde" property, which shows that Century Pavilion plays a very important role in campus property.

The third is the library. Founded in 1937, Renmin University Library is an important hub for the sharing of literature resources in Beijing's higher education, and it is a university library in China focusing on humanities and social sciences. The library of Renmin University is not big from the front, but when you swipe your card in, you will realize the concept of a total construction area of 56,000 square meters. Of course, the scale of Renmin University Library is reflected in its 3.5 million books and more than 300 kinds of databases. Renmin University has more than 150 teachers, all of whom are very enthusiastic and willing to help students solve problems.

Mei Yiqi, president of Tsinghua University, put forward in his inaugural speech at 193 1 that "the so-called scholar is not an architect, but also a master". Compared with the building, Renmin University is more proud of the masters who have made great achievements in various fields. The new campus of Renmin University in Tongzhou is under construction. I hope that the majority of students can grow up with the pace of new campus construction, and more masters will come out of the building in the future.
