When will the couplets be torn?

Stickers on the 29th and 30th of the twelfth lunar month can be torn after the 15th of the first month, that is, after the end of the year.

The time requirement for tearing Spring Festival couplets is not as strict and concentrated as that for pasting Spring Festival couplets. There will be differences in different places. Most families will not tear up Spring Festival couplets, but will only wait until the Spring Festival couplets are posted the next year.

Every Spring Festival, every household sticks red couplets on their doors, which adds to the festive atmosphere. It depicts beautiful images and expresses good wishes with neat, concise and exquisite words, which is a unique literary form of the Han nationality. There is no limit to the number of words in the upper and lower couplets, but they must be equal. Common couplets have five words and seven words. The two sides of couplets should correspond. When people paste couplets and blessings at the door, it means the official start of the Spring Festival.
