According to the "Trial Measures for the Management of Family Room Decoration" of the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development, both residential and non-residential buildings need to be declared and approved before decoration. This paper will introduce the application and approval process of house decoration and the matters needing attention in the decoration process.

Declaration and approval

Before renovation, it is necessary to report and register with the property management unit and urban construction supervision squadron where the residence is located. Non-residential (business premises) decoration, you need to bring relevant materials to the urban construction supervision squadron for housing decoration permit. For the renovation of houses with an investment of more than 300 square meters and a construction area of more than 300 square meters, the construction unit needs to apply for the building construction permit before the project starts.

Submit corresponding materials

When decorating, you need to submit the corresponding materials in accordance with the "Administrative Measures for Interior Decoration of Residential Buildings". If there are special circumstances such as changing the main body or load-bearing structure of the building, it is also necessary to submit the design scheme put forward by the original design unit or the design unit with corresponding qualification grade.

The owner agrees to a written certificate.

If it is not the owner of the house, but the user of the house, it is necessary to provide written proof that the owner agrees to decorate. Only in this way can we ensure that our decoration behavior is legal and compliant, and avoid unnecessary troubles in the future.
