Facilities around Defu Garden

The surrounding facilities of Telford Garden include large shopping centers-Telford Plaza Phase I and Telford Plaza Phase II, including fashion shops, theaters, banks, restaurants, department stores, large electrical furniture chain stores, gold jewelry chain stores and so on. There are banks, post offices, kindergartens, community centers, music and dance training centers, city university branches, clinics and so on.

In the early days, there were community facilities such as the former site of Wellington Middle School (now the former site of City University Branch), the police station (or report room) (the former post office has been abolished), the branch office of the Hong Kong Independent Commission Against Corruption (moved), and the roller skating rink (now next to the club and converted into a bank).

There are park rest facilities on the platform of Telford Garden, including fountains, squares and fish pond parks. The second floor of the platform is mainly for children's amusement park facilities and the entrance of most residential buildings. Telford Garden has club facilities, including a standard 50m 8-line swimming pool, four tennis courts and a gym. It was originally open to the public at a low price, but now it is a membership system. In 2006, the monthly membership fee was about HK$ 2,000 or more.

Telford Square is the main passage connecting the subway station with Telford Garden and Kowloon Bay Industrial Zone, and the three passages across the air-conditioned shopping mall are open 24 hours a day.

Kowloon Bay Metro Depot is located on the ground below the platform of Telford Garden, and the headquarters of MTR Corporation is also built in Telford Garden Phase II next to Telford Plaza. Telford Plaza Phase II is the responsibility of New World Development Co., Ltd., while property management, such as Telford Garden, is the responsibility of MTRC.
