Historical Evolution of Cangshan District

Cangshan District is named after Zang Qianshan. In ancient times, it was called Tengshan. 1368 (Hongwu period of Ming dynasty), a salt barn was built at the northern foot of Tengshan Mountain, commonly known as the front of salt barn, or Cang Qian for short, hence the name of the district.

Cangshan District was established in June 1946 when Fuzhou was founded. After liberation in August 1949,/kloc-0 remained one of the municipal districts.
