If an enterprise stops production within a wage payment period, it shall pay the wages of its employees according to the standards agreed in the labor contract. 2. Is it illegal for an enterprise to arrange employees to work overtime to complete tasks in a special period?

It's not illegal. According to the provisions of Article 42 of the Labor Law, the extension of working hours is not restricted by Article 41 of this Law under any of the following circumstances:

(a) the occurrence of natural disasters, accidents or other reasons, threatening the life and health of employees and property safety, and requiring emergency treatment;

(two) production equipment, transportation lines, public facilities failure, affecting production and public interests, must be repaired in time;

(3) Other circumstances stipulated by laws and administrative regulations.

According to the documents of human and social departments all over the country, wages should not be paid during the epidemic, but I believe this situation is common in real life, because many enterprises, especially small and medium-sized enterprises, have very limited liquidity, and it may be difficult for enterprises to pay living expenses to their employees if they stop production for more than one month.
