The reconstruction and expansion project of Chengshan Road parking lot in Pudong is expected to be completed and put into use in the first quarter of next year. This "Big Mac", which covers an area of about 654.38+10,000 square meters and can accommodate10.2 million buses, will be the largest three-dimensional bus parking lot in Asia, and will handle nearly one-third of the buses in Pudong every day in the future.

The whole project includes multi-storey garage, garage repair, gas station, washing station, substation, operation building, property management building, bus office building and so on. The four-story garage has a total construction area of about 6.5438+0.8 million square meters, can accommodate five-story bus stops, and is equipped with more than 20,000 square meters of green space, and the greening rate will reach about 20%. In addition, more than 600 bicycles can be parked in the parking lot, which provides convenience for citizens to connect with public transportation.

It is reported that Pudong has continuously increased its investment in public transport infrastructure. Last year and so far this year, the investment exceeded 654.38 billion yuan. At present, there are about 10 large parking lots in Pudong that can be closed at night. This year, Pudong has also completed the renovation of nearly 20 stations in the area and built two new parking lots. Because it is adjacent to the main venue of the Expo, Chengshan Road parking lot will play an important role in the orderly distribution of a large number of dense passengers during the Expo.
