Architectural Layout of Dapeng Dongshan Temple in Shenzhen

Dongshan Temple is a concrete structure building with a clear-faced stone exterior wall and yellow glazed tile eaves. It is divided into four entrances from low to high according to the mountain, and there is a patio between the front and rear entrances. The first entrance is the front door, in front of which there are eleven stone steps, the meditation room and living room on the east and the kitchen on the west. The second entrance is Guandi Temple, where the statue of Guandi is enshrined. On the right is Tan Xuan, followed by Wei Tuo, Gong Zhong and Drum. The third entrance is "Daxiong Hall", with three treasures of Buddha and eighteen arhats, and on the right is "Hall of Medical Spirit". The fourth is "Kannonji" and so on. A "Wong Tai Sin Temple" was built in the temple. There are 80 Fujian color paintings/kloc-0 embedded in the temple wall, a pavilion, rockery and turtle garden are newly built outside the temple, and fruit trees such as peaches, plums, loquats, Shatian pomelo, longan and lychee are newly planted around it.

In 2009, Dongshan Temple was rebuilt for the third time. After the completion, it will be divided into four parts with Dashanmen, Tianwang Hall, Daxiong Hall and Tibetan Classics Building as the central axis. On both sides, there are the Temple of Galapagos, the Temple of Ancestors, the Hall of Meritorious Deeds and the Hall of Fushou, and there are bell tower, drum tower, monk's house, guest room, living room, fasting hall, meditation hall and Sixth Ancestor lecture hall.

From September, 20 12 to New Year's Day, 20 14, the Daxiong Hall was expanded, with the Temple of Heaven and the Bell Tower on the left and the ancestral temple and the Drum Tower on the right. All of them are made of pure pineapple mahogany structure, and the foundation is made of traditional granite without any reinforced concrete. Among them, the 10,000-Jin bronze bell in the bell tower was cast in Taiwan Province Province, China, and engraved with Prajna Paramita Heart Sutra and the Great Compassion Mantra.
