After half a year's preparation and debugging, Lujiazui 24-hour Library launched by Lujiazui Library in Pudong New Area of Lujiazui Financial City recently met with the general public. Self-service library is located in Pujiang Mingyuan Community, Lujiazui, Pudong, which has been rated as "Shanghai Civilized Community" for many years.

The 24-hour self-service library, known as the "third-generation library", is a brand-new library model, which provides complete self-service, integrating the functions of handling documents, inquiring, booking, borrowing, returning books, renewing them and paying overdue fees, and provides most functions of small physical libraries. Citizens can borrow their favorite books at home at any time.

Lujiazui 24-hour Library is the first 24-hour self-service library in Shanghai. It consists of self-service library server, logistics system, central service system and monitoring system, and can store 400 books. Lujiazui Library has a collection of 300,000 books, which is a powerful resource support for self-service library. Readers can send a book reservation request to the central service system through the inquiry system on the self-service machine, and the book will be delivered to the designated place within 2 days.

During the World Expo, Lujiazui Library will also launch a number of "Lujiazui 24-hour Libraries".
