The permanent popular science exhibition hall of Shaanxi Science and Technology Museum is located on the 4th floor of the main building/kloc-0, with an area of about 1 400 square meters. The exhibition covers more than 290 exhibits in aerospace, mechanics, electromagnetism, optics, acoustics, mathematics, machinery, human science, material science, multimedia technology exhibition, science and technology hands-on park, online science and technology museum and other disciplines. The exhibits are scientific, informative and interesting, and the audience is encouraged to make them by hand. Generally, the learning form of heuristic education is adopted. In order to create a scientific and technological practice environment for the general public to cultivate their thinking ability and creative ability necessary for finding and solving problems, so that they can actively understand scientific principles, master scientific laws and learn scientific knowledge in entertainment. The exhibition highlights the laws, applications and trends of the development of science and technology, pays attention to both science and technology, and pays attention to the popularization of basic science and high-tech knowledge, especially permeates the contribution of the Chinese nation to science and technology in history and contemporary times, and educates the public on scientific spirit and patriotism. From September 3, 2003, when the pavilion was officially opened to the public, to April 2004, it received more than 60,000 visitors. After the visit, the visitors praised the provincial party committee and government for doing a practical and good thing for the people of the province. In May, 2004, in order to implement the spirit of the State Council Document No.8, our library will designate every Wednesday as a free visit day for youth groups and receive 3 1000 people for free. The popular science caravan is another part of the educational function of the exhibition, and it is an important measure for Shaanxi Science and Technology Museum to radiate popular science work to the whole province. With the care, support and guidance of the Provincial Association for Science and Technology and the Provincial Department of Finance, the Shaanxi Provincial Science and Technology Museum set up a popular science caravan task force in time, and used the caravan and its on-board popular science exhibits, exhibition board publicity materials and video equipment to go deep into the vast rural areas of the province to carry out the "Three Qin Tour Popular Science Caravan" activity. Over the past year or so, we have carried out various popular science publicity activities in more than 30 counties and districts in Yulin, Yan 'an, Baoji, Tongchuan and Xianyang for 55 times, distributed more than 654.38 million popular science publicity materials, displayed 60 popular science exhibits, exhibited more than 5,000 popular science exhibition boards and played more than 654.38+000 popular science CDs. It has been welcomed and praised by party committees, governments and all walks of life at all levels, and the masses affectionately call the caravan the "Mobile Science and Technology Museum".

Training and education is an important task to expand the educational function of the science and technology museum, and the training business closely focuses on the task of the exhibition and education center of the science and technology museum. Strengthen contact with the training department of China Association for Science and Technology, provincial and municipal associations for science and technology, government departments, relevant social departments and organizations, and take advantage of the comprehensive advantages held by the Association for Science and Technology to undertake the continuing education and quality education and training tasks of civil servants, young cadres and scientific and technological personnel in the province.

Over the past year, we have held seven training courses on property managers, enterprise human resource management, professional titles and foreign languages, and labor skills, and held more than 40 training courses on Lang Nuo's extraordinary memory and Hualai's learning strategies for young people, with more than 3,000 participants.

With the completion of the renovation of the Science and Technology Museum, the training base has taken on a new look. At present, the teaching venue of the training department is on the fifth floor of the Science and Technology Museum Building, with five modern classrooms. Among them, there are three audio-visual classrooms, a voice classroom and a multimedia network classroom. Network classrooms are interconnected through local area network and connected to the Internet through optical fiber. Central air conditioning, advanced teaching equipment and other hardware facilities provide a comfortable learning environment and conditions for training and learning.

Scientific and technological activities and exchanges are an important part of the business work of the Science and Technology Museum. Mainly responsible for academic exchange activities, community science popularization activities and external publicity. The focus of academic exchanges is to closely focus on the hot, difficult and focal topics concerned by the government and the public, organize and hold popular science reports, popular science lectures, science salons and other activities in a timely manner to carry forward the scientific spirit, popularize scientific knowledge and spread scientific ideas and methods to the public; External publicity mainly uses popular science windows, newsletters, popular science exhibition boards, popular science videos, news media propaganda and other means and forms to enrich the methods and contents of popular science work and promote the all-round development of science and technology museums. There is an academic lecture hall that can accommodate 180 and 70 people, and an academician hall that promotes, displays and facilitates the exchange of activities between academicians of Shaanxi Academy of Sciences.

Over the past year, the science and technology exchange business cooperated with the Convention and Exhibition Center to hold two popular science reports and lectures 12 to fight against SARS and celebrate the successful launch of Shenzhou 5, edited and published 8 publicity columns of Window and 5 issues of Newsletter, and produced 40 popular science exhibition boards 140 for agricultural practical technology, aerospace knowledge and life science, so as to promote popular science propaganda and popularization into the community. The Science and Technology Museum is another important function of the Science and Technology Museum, which mainly provides reception, accommodation, catering, business, meetings and other necessary supporting services for the majority of scientific and technological workers and various popular science activities and academic activities. Among them, the guest rooms are located on the sixth to eighth floors of the building. * * * There are 54 standard rooms with 65,438+008 beds. The restaurant is located on the east side of the first floor of the building and can accommodate 400 people at the same time. Six small academic exchange halls and multi-function halls are located on the sixth to eighth floors of the building, which can meet different conference activities.
