When the temperature drops below 13℃, it begins to hibernate in clusters. If the environment does not adapt, it is difficult to enter a dormant state. The hibernation temperature of turtles is 1- 10℃. Repeated hibernation and awakening during hibernation can also lead to the death of turtles. Temperatures below 0℃ will frostbite turtles and even freeze to death. The cold resistance of Brazilian tortoise is ok, as long as the water temperature is not lower than 4℃, it can safely overwinter. Family breeding is generally not lower than this temperature indoors, but if it is raised on the balcony or garden pool, you should pay attention.
