Beishan Mountain Forest Park of Huzhu

Qinghai Huzhu Beishan National Forest Geopark is located in the northeast of Huzhu Tu Autonomous County, Qinghai Province, 78km from Weiyuan Town, the county seat, and 1 10km from Xining, the provincial capital. It is a mountainous natural scenic tourist area. The mountains and rivers in the forest area are majestic, the canyons are deep, the banks are steep, the dangerous peaks are towering, the mountains and valleys are staggered, and the flowing water at the bottom is swift. Forest Park is a resort for summer vacation, recuperation and popular science investigation. It is one of the first national ecological education bases to protect the mother river, and it is also the only ecological park in Qinghai Province with forest natural landscape as the main body. This is one of the best-preserved natural forest resources in Qinghai Province, with rich species of animals and plants, including 98/kloc-0 species of higher plants and nearly 200 species of wild animals. Due to the climate, altitude and geographical location, the natural forest area has obvious vertical distribution zone and clear belt spectrum, and there are various isomorphic forest landscapes such as coniferous forest, broad-leaved forest, alpine shrub and alpine meadow, which is one of the best areas in Qinghai Province. Mountains become green islands, wet islands, cool islands and water islands in arid areas. The landform is magnificent, the mountains and rivers are beautiful, the sky is high and the clouds are light, the air is fresh, the annual average temperature is 4.8℃, and the climate features are long in winter and short in summer, cool in spring and cool in autumn, and the plateau features are outstanding.
