The bleached wood pulp and paperboard project of Shandong Rizhao Wood Pulp Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as Rizhao Wood Pulp Project) is one of the key construction projects during the Ninth Five-Year Plan period, with an annual output of 6.5438+0.7 million tons. The main products are high whiteness kraft pulp which is in short supply in China and liquid packaging paperboard which fills the gap in China. This project includes the following subprojects: material preparation workshop (including stacking and screening of wood chips), pulping workshop (including cooking, washing and bleaching, screening, oxygen delignification and bleaching), chemical preparation workshop, pulp board workshop, cardboard workshop (including pulping, paper making and finishing, and preparation of auxiliary materials and coatings), alkali recovery workshop (including evaporation, combustion, causticization and lime kiln) and thermal power station.

This project takes foreign wood chips as raw materials, and the annual demand for wood chips is 367,500 tons (absolutely dry). Foreign wood chips are divided into softwood (softwood chips) and hardwood chips (hardwood chips), of which softwood chips account for 75% of the total consumption and hardwood chips account for 25% of the total consumption. The foreign sawdust is transported to the dock, unloaded by a special gripper to the dock mobile belt conveyor, and then transported by the belt conveyor. According to the project's demand for wood chips, the transportation and storage cycle of wood chips, and taking into account minimizing liquidity and floor space and saving equipment investment, it is designed to unload a pile of wood chips per ship. Wood chips are combustible solids, with a water content of about 40%, and the fire risk is Class C. There is no fire in these large open-air storage yards, so it is impossible to provide the actual data of fire water consumption of these large open-air storage yards, so there is no corresponding new national standard. 3. Present situation of fire protection design of large-scale wood chip open-air storage yard in China

3. 1 A paper mill in Fujian

There are two piles of chips in the open-air storage yard, covering an area of 50,000 cubic meters. It is equipped with low-pressure outdoor fire hydrant and fire extinguisher, and a temporary high-pressure fire fighting system is added. Outdoor fire hydrant system is equipped with pipe network according to 55l/s fire water volume.
