Longxing temple is located in the north gate of Pengzhou City, Sichuan Province. It was founded in the Eastern Jin Dynasty (337), formerly known as Dakong Temple. In the second year of Yongding, Liang Wudi (558), Master Zhigong expanded the temple. In the second year of Wu Zetian (6 19), it was renamed Dayun Temple, and in the sixth year of Tang Xuanzong (7 18), it was renamed longxing temple. In the fifth year of Tang Wuzong Huichang (845), it was predicted that Zen Master would rebuild longxing temple. By the1940s, the temple covered an area of more than 80 mu, with four halls, several auxiliary halls, more than 100 Buddha statues, more than 100 resident monks, and more than 150 houses surrounded by red walls.
