The little beauty in the volunteer service team

When I first moved here, my heart was full of sadness. Remote, inconvenient transportation, daily shopping is also very troublesome. Even people who live here come from all walks of life, such as taxi drivers, vegetable sellers, part-time workers and so on.

For a while, I saw that people often left garbage unattended in the elevator, there were naked shits from time to time in the green belt of the community, and there were neighborhood quarrels caused by inadequate floor sound insulation ... I thought to myself how I was so bad that I actually lived in such a community, and one day I would run away!

By chance, I met a volunteer from the library in the community. After her introduction, I realized that this small library was organized by several retired people. Looking at the cleanliness of the library and the full shelves surprised me and made my heart beat. It turns out that there is a small library in our community. It turns out that our library was built spontaneously by everyone.

Later, I listened to the introduction of volunteers. She said that there are many different volunteers in our community, such as volunteers who help students with their homework, volunteers who maintain order after school, volunteers who direct morning and evening traffic at community entrances and exits, and daily convenience teams ... I feel very ashamed. I have always felt that it is not good here, and I don't like it, but my neighbors are silently contributing their strength to make our community better and better.

And I usually see those who wear red armbands patrolling the community to direct traffic. I also think they are all property workers, and they are all paid. I blame them for their poor service. Unexpectedly, there are still people who will serve others for free. They are Ma Bao, they are retired grandparents, they are working people, they are students at school ... Everyone is involved and contributes their share.

Once upon a time, I also longed to be a volunteer, and I also hoped to do my part to help others, but I never thought that helping others could start with the little things around me!

After that contact, I found some books at home, donated them to the library, and applied to join the library volunteers. For me, I can finally do something besides taking care of the children.

Unfortunately, since I joined the library as a volunteer, I can't do anything. Because near the end of the year, the library duty table is full, and there is nothing to help except the winter vacation students' practical activities. Therefore, after the new year, I must serve the library as I did for my predecessors.

I didn't know that the normal operation of the library was forced to stop because of a sudden epidemic. I was forced to stay in China because I went back to my hometown for the New Year. In those days, everyone was afraid. Everyone stayed indoors and stopped socializing. However, our volunteer organization is very active.

I can't remember whether President Li or WHO took the lead in calling on volunteers who are still in the community to take action. There are few people in the property, so I will cooperate with the property for publicity, check the temperature at the entrance and exit, send daily necessities to isolated families, and mobilize people around me to donate epidemic prevention materials ... From the first few people to a group of people later, the team is getting bigger and bigger, and the news in the group is constantly on every day. I only hate that I can't go back to reunite with them as soon as possible.

In this way, the volunteer team in the community has grown up bit by bit, and various volunteer service behaviors of volunteers have also been recognized by street community leaders. The Volunteer Alliance has its own official registered name "One Heart, One Mind, One Mind". We are not only volunteers with one heart and one mind, but also nationally recognized volunteers.

The * * * library in the community was finally reopened after being closed for nearly half a year under the influence of the epidemic. This time, the library in the community is not only the library in the community, but also has found its own organization and family. It also belongs to Changsha Library and the library in front of residents' homes.

The library is bigger, the library has more books, the library system is more perfect, and the library is known by more and more people in society. All these changes are inseparable from the efforts of the first generation of volunteers. They take the lead in laying a solid foundation, adding bricks and tiles bit by bit, influencing others with actions and changing reality with actions.

Nowadays, the library is crowded with people who love reading every day, regardless of gender, age and age. The volunteer service groups in libraries are also growing day by day, but a group of seemingly unprofessional people are doing the most professional things.

I have been a volunteer in the library for less than a year. Looking back on my volunteer service in the past year, there are only a handful. Compared with others, I do very little, but even if I am on duty in a humble library, I will get their gratitude and encouragement.

Especially Aunt Li in the library, because there are many people on weekends, she goes almost every weekend, whether she shifts or not. For her, the library embodies the efforts of too many volunteers like her. She likes to see people reading and borrowing books quietly in the library, and she likes to serve with volunteers. Those books are like her treasures, and almost every book has been lightly touched by her.

Now, with our own library as the foundation, the reader community has also been established. The reading club will read together and output reading notes together ... sometimes it will even invite lectures on legal or psychological knowledge from time to time to popularize the law and ease the psychology of residents in the community.

The community that I once looked down upon and disliked has become more and more humane and scholarly. Although I don't take part in many volunteer services, every movement will make me feel full of heart. Because I am doing something meaningful, because I am empowering others, being with a group of loving people and doing loving things.

Think of the first volunteers in the community. They are pioneers. I wonder how many difficulties they went through to get the size of today's volunteer team. Do you think these volunteers are born after 9080? No, they are retired old people. After retirement, they are still using their own strength to shine for the society and the younger generation.

The first generation of volunteers have completed the arduous task ahead. What they want is to give it to young people and let them come. I feel honored to meet them, meet them, be beautiful, be empowered and empower others.
