Historical evolution:

Wuyishan City is located in the north of Fujian Province. The whole territory is 70 kilometers wide from east to west and 72.5 kilometers long from north to south. Yangzhuang Township has the lowest population density, which has always been lower than 50 people per square kilometer.

During the Republic of China, the areas around Xingcun and Caodun in Xingcun Township and Chishi in Wuyi Township were tea gathering places, with numerous teahouses, dense shops and rows of houses, frequent business contacts and high population density. After liberation, tea was scattered and moved to the urban area. The population of villages and towns such as Xingcun and Wuyi is relatively reduced. In the late 1970s, with the rise of tourism, Xingcun Town became the starting point of drifting in Jiuqu River, and tourists flocked to it. Wuyi Township is located in the center of Wuyishan National Scenic Area, so the population ratio has always been high. Five Blessingg Town and xingtian town, the main grain producing areas, are in the plain, so the population density is relatively high. Among the towns in the city 10, xingtian town and Chengchong Town are the most populous and densely populated towns, followed by Wuyi Township. The population of these towns and villages remained at 20,000 to 25,000 people per square kilometer in the 1980s. According to the fourth population census 1990, the population density of the whole city is 74 people per square kilometer. According to the unified arrangement of Wuyishan Municipal People's Government, Wuyishan Scenic Area Management Committee is scheduled to implement a new ticket system for Wuyishan Scenic Area from June 1 2005. By then, the tourist traffic, ticket management, passenger flow scheduling, property management and information services in the scenic spot will all operate in accordance with the new regulations.

Tickets for scenic spots shall be executed according to document No.203 [2003] of the South Certificate Price.
