(1) Lack of furniture professional knowledge among college students: 1. The level of CAD drawing is low, and they basically don't know how to draw three-dimensional model drawings of furniture with CAD. Many skills of plane drawing are unclear, and CAD printing knowledge is basically unknown. Analysis: At present, the importance of CAD in schools is getting lower and lower. More students and teachers are keen to learn 3D rendering software such as 3DMAX and rhinoceros. For drawing printing, they basically turn to the printing company. Present situation of enterprises: CAD is basically used to draw graphics, including three-dimensional drawings, because the accuracy of dimensions is very important in production, and CAD is the best tool software at this stage. At the same time, after the modeling design is completed, the later structural drawing is completely drawn by CAD. In addition, when machining parts with CNC, the graphics drawn by CAD software are transferred to CAM for control. CAD is an indispensable software in furniture design and production. It is impossible for enterprises to go to printing companies to print corresponding drawings, so CAD printing is a skill that must be mastered. On the other hand, furniture manufacturers seldom use software such as 3DMAX, because this is only an effect performance, which is of little significance to production. 2. I know very little about furniture materials, and I can only name several kinds of wood, let alone distinguish different kinds of wood. Some students can't even tell the difference between particleboard and density board, and basically don't understand the characteristics of various materials. Analysis: Even if some schools offer courses related to materials, students see very little in kind, and the books are too theoretical, which complicates simple things. And more students majoring in "industrial design" have never seen the relevant furniture materials at all. No wonder many people don't even know about particleboard. Current situation of enterprises: any furniture enterprise will be required to indicate its material when designing furniture, and the use of material is a very important factor in furniture design, even sometimes a decisive factor; Basic materials such as particleboard and density board are the most commonly used materials in furniture enterprises, and designers must know them like the back of their hands. 3. I don't know much about furniture production process, furniture technology and furniture production machinery. How is a piece of furniture, a component or a part processed? What mechanical equipment does it need to go through? I believe that this problem can baffle a large number of "college students" and make the workers in the factory feel ridiculous-college students! ! ! And what about our college students? I haven't studied it, nor have I seen it. Very sad. Analysis: Few schools offer courses on furniture production technology, which are far less attractive than courses such as animation production and 3D rendering. At present, most of the teachers in the school are graduate students and have little contact with enterprises-the teachers don't know, let alone the students they teach? Moreover, there are few internship opportunities for college students now, and even if they have the opportunity, they have not studied hard. Current situation of enterprises: From a high level, and from the current situation of China furniture enterprises, enterprises expect their designers to know some technology, which can bring a lot of convenience to furniture production, greatly save production costs and lay a good foundation for mass production. I know little about the structure of furniture. How is a piece of furniture assembled? What is a row of holes of 32mm? How many kinds of hardware have you seen? How to use all kinds of hardware? What are the characteristics of various holes, grooves and tenons, and how to use them? This series of "simple" questions makes the new college students very helpless! According to the structural drawing, even if your CAD level is high, but you don't understand the furniture structure, then you can only stare blankly at the computer, but you can't draw a simple drawing. Analysis: I don't know how the course of furniture structure design is offered in some schools, but I am sure that the students in these schools have basically learned nothing in this course, or that many schools have not offered this course (especially the industrial design major offered in some schools). Enterprise status: structural designers are the most recruited in enterprises, especially recent graduates, and most of them are assigned to this position, which requires students to leave the university. 5, poor hand-drawing ability When asked to hand-draw simple furniture sketches, or do some sketching exercises, most students are shaking with pens, the size relationship is wrong, there is no detail, and there is actually a chair leg with a straight line drawing-basic drawing knowledge! Analysis: When computer becomes a compulsory course in universities, students pay less and less attention to hand drawing, and some "designers" who study engineering are even more unfamiliar with hand drawing-the original sketches and colors are "mixed". I don't know much about the situation of furniture enterprises, know little about the name of furniture enterprises, know little about the development history and present situation of furniture enterprises, and know little about the corresponding products of enterprises, and most of them stay on the surface. Analysis: If you stay in school and attend classes every day, you will naturally not know the names of furniture companies and related furniture brands. The current situation of the enterprise: "Know yourself and know yourself, and fight every battle", and the requirements of the enterprise for its own designers are very basic. Second, the various situations of college students coming to the enterprise for the first time and their solutions: 1 Before they come to the enterprise, they always fantasize about what they should do, including what the enterprise should do and what they will do. There are many things you can't imagine-for example, some companies don't give any training to new employees at all, and no one will teach you how to do it. You have to learn by yourself. Some things may not have happened to you, but don't imagine who will help you solve them, only yourself. Solution: Anticipate the worst of everything that will happen, then do it with confidence and try your best. 2, impetuous, do not know how to set goals for themselves, no plan, no summary, blindly facing college students who have just arrived in the enterprise, do not know what they want to do. Once the enterprise has not made a detailed plan for them, he just looks at a loss and "idles around" all day-such a person can't learn anything by himself, nor can he create value for the enterprise, which is not good for both sides. Solution: Set a goal for yourself, make a detailed plan, stick to the plan, sum up every day, find your own shortcomings, and urge yourself to correct them. 3, can not bear hardships, run when encountering a little difficulty, and retreat. Nowadays, college students are really charming in heaven. After suffering a little, they felt that they had been greatly wronged. Solution: Be polite and humble everywhere, which can never be wrong in China. When you are new to an enterprise, especially in front of leaders, you should listen more and talk less. You must analyze and verify some hearsay complaints before you come to a conclusion, help your colleagues enthusiastically and treat others sincerely. 6. Don't take the initiative to meet people, "wait" for others to come to your own business, unlike schools, where teachers will take the initiative to teach you knowledge, point out your shortcomings, criticize and encourage you, and so on. In enterprises, colleagues usually don't do this-because you are "equal", most leaders don't give you such detailed guidance, and at most remind you a few words. In an enterprise, when you can't do something well, don't expect someone to help you (many people laugh at you for being too late). Solution: Introduce yourself when you meet for the first time, usually say hello more, ask the right colleagues questions actively, politely and sincerely, and answer the questions raised by colleagues enthusiastically. 7. I wonder if someone will "manage" you as before after I manage myself in the enterprise. Therefore, once the leader leaves or colleagues are away, it is easy for new college students to do things that violate the company's regulations, such as chatting online, playing games during office hours, or making long-distance calls on the office phone. In fact, many bad habits are "formed", and many of your habits are seen by colleagues or leaders. They don't usually say that the critical moment may be fatal to you.
