Present situation of Qinglan Bay in Wenchang, Hainan

Wenchang Qinglan Bay is an important commercial port on the east coast of Hainan Island-Qinglan Port; Qinglan Port is located in the southeast of Wenchang City, Hainan Province. It is the largest port in eastern Hainan, located in Bamen Bay. It is a national first-class open port, a supply base in Sansha City, a transit hub of Wenchang Space Launch Center and the second largest fishing port in Hainan. The gourd-shaped bay covers an area of about 67 square kilometers. There are beaches and mangroves here, covering an area of over 80,000 mu, which is the lowest forest in the world. In the Ming Dynasty, the Qinglan Garrison was established, which was later rewritten as "Qinglan", hence the name of the Bay.
