Zhou Pu Hospital in Pudong New Area was established on 1930. It is a regional medical center integrating medical treatment, teaching, scientific research, prevention, health care and first aid in the central part of Pudong. 2011August, the Health Party Working Committee of Pudong New Area appointed Professor Li Xinming (doctor of medicine, doctoral supervisor, chief physician and professor, former vice president of Shanghai Oriental Hospital) as the president of Zhou Pu Hospital, and invited Academician Ge Junbo (academician of China Academy of Sciences, director of Shanghai Institute of Cardiology, director of cardiology department of Zhongshan Hospital affiliated to Fudan University) as the honorary president of Zhou Pu Hospital.
