Which zoo in Chongqing is more interesting?

Located in the western suburbs of Chongqing, Chongqing Zoo was founded in 1955, covering an area of 45 hectares. It is a medium-sized zoo in China, with rolling mountains and beautiful natural scenery. More than 200 kinds of animals and more than 2,000 kinds of animals are often exhibited. Receive Chinese and foreign tourists every year 1 10,000 person-times.

Chongqing Zoo is the executive director of China Zoo Association and a member of World Zoo Federation. It is a protection and breeding base for endangered animals such as giant panda, red panda and South China tiger. With the support of the leaders of Chongqing Municipal Government and Municipal Bureau of Landscape Architecture, great progress has been made. In recent years, antelope pavilion, elephant pavilion, giraffe pavilion, panda pavilion, orangutan pavilion, endangered birds pavilion, miniature garden and comprehensive tea garden have been built successively. In order to further protect and breed endangered animals, the newly-built Nanping endangered animal breeding base is under construction.

The park is surrounded by mountains, with dense bamboo trees, lush green grass and flowers, and green peach blossom streams flowing around the park. There are more than 20 zoos, with more than 50 species of animals/kloc-0 and more than 200 animals/kloc-0, among which rare animals are giant pandas, red pandas, golden monkeys, white iron langurs, twisted-horn sheep, wildebeests and turkeys. The park is also the population base of the National South China Tiger Breeding Center. There is also an artificial lake in the park, which is connected by islands, curved bridges and scenic pavilions. Poultry and fish are widely raised in the lake.

There are children's paradise, roller skating rink, outdoor stage, reading room, restaurant and tea garden in the park. Visitors can also go boating in clean water to find nature.

Since the reform and opening up, Chongqing Zoo has strengthened international friendly exchanges and maintained long-term cooperative relations with An Wei Zoo in Hiroshima, Seattle Forest Park and Zoo in the United States, Toronto Zoo in Canada and Indonesian Wildlife Park. Rare animals donated by these zoos, such as giraffes, lion-tailed monkeys, zebras, flamingos, mountain kui, green baboons, antelopes and orangutans, have all settled in Chongqing Zoo for breeding.

Since 1985 was named as a "civilized unit" by the people's government of Sichuan Province, Chongqing Zoo has maintained the title of a provincial-level civilized unit after five reexaminations, and its director Yao Minda was rated as one of the top ten city zoo in China by 1995.

Although Chongqing Zoo has made some progress, there is still a big gap compared with domestic large zoos and foreign zoos in terms of cage conditions, types, quantity, management level and popular science education, and there is an increasing trend. Faced with this situation, we firmly believe that in the years to come, with the support of the government and the concern of the whole society and the efforts of the zoo itself, Chongqing Zoo will have a new development.
