In the 1981/82 season, Yuyuan Football Club recruited foreign players for the first time. After goalkeeper Brinley, they recruited Tony Pulis through Bulova coach Willy's relationship in England. 1981 On September 23, 2016, he arrived in Hong Kong just after the season started and signed with Yuyuan to play for one year. On June 5, 1982, Tony Pulis was appointed as a player and assistant coach by Bristol Rovers Football Club. Since he was getting married soon, he terminated his contract with Yuyuan and returned to the UK early.
