Chapter I General Provisions Article 1 In order to promote the development of urban greening, protect and improve the ecological environment, and build livable cities and ecological garden cities, these Regulations are formulated in accordance with relevant laws and regulations and in light of the actual situation of this Municipality. Article 2 These Regulations shall apply to the planning, construction, protection and management of urban greening in the urban planning areas of Qingdao and counties.

Article 4 The municipal and district (city) people's governments shall incorporate the construction and maintenance of urban greening into the national economic and social development plan and arrange special funds for urban greening. Article 5 The municipal and district (city) people's governments shall organize nationwide voluntary tree planting activities and mass greening work.

Units and individuals shall perform tree planting and other greening obligations in accordance with relevant regulations.

Encourage units and individuals to adopt urban green space in the form of donations and services. Encourage residents to participate in greening residential areas. Sixth urban greening should be adapted to local conditions, rational layout, optimize plant allocation, and give play to the ecological and landscape functions of urban green space.

The administrative department in charge of urban landscaping should strengthen the scientific research of urban greening, popularize the advanced technology of greening construction and maintenance, and water-saving technologies such as micro-spraying, drip irrigation and infiltration irrigation, and organize the cultivation and application of suitable plant varieties in this Municipality. The urban green space system planning of county-level cities shall be reported to the administrative department of urban landscaping for the record. (3) Not less than 40% of urban landscape protection areas and scenic spots;

(four) new schools, medical institutions and public cultural and sports facilities shall not be less than 35%.

Green space area standards for industrial, commercial, urban roads and other construction projects shall be implemented in accordance with relevant state regulations.

If the construction project belongs to the nature of compatible land use, the standard of green space area shall be determined according to the highest proportion of the categories involved. Fourteenth roads, railways, high-voltage transmission lines, corridors, rivers and other protective green spaces on both sides, by the relevant units in accordance with the standards set by the state.
