Brief introduction of Baoan town

Baoan Town, Yexian County, Henan Province is a famous historical town in the Central Plains, and its "Jingxiang Pass" is one of the nine dangerous passes in ancient China. Because of its geographical location, Baoan Town has been a post station for hundreds of years. During the apocalypse of the Ming Dynasty, the security post station needed 4,434 taels of silver a year, which was considered as a national first-class post station. Numerous historical stories have been produced here. In Ming Dynasty, the magistrate of Yexian county was framed by Wuyang county magistrate because of the financial burden of security post. Yexian people went to Beijing to "knock on the imperial edict" to defend it, which enabled Yexian magistrate to be rehabilitated and promoted to the third level, from the seventh level magistrate to the sixth level magistrate in Zhuozhou, Zhili. At the end of Ming Dynasty, Li Zicheng, the king, stationed here and defeated Liu Guoneng, who was stationed in Yexian County.
