Ningxia Special Education School was founded in 1985, which belongs to the Education Department of the Autonomous Region. It is the only formal special education school with full-time boarding and nine-year compulsory education in the autonomous region.

The school covers an area of 43 mu and has a beautiful teaching environment, which meets the standard requirements of greening, beautification, hardening and purification. 255 blind, deaf and disabled children from all ethnic groups in the whole region and surrounding provinces are happy and proud to live and study here, and they call the school blind and deaf Children's Home.
