According to records, after the First Opium War, the gate of China was opened by the warships of the great powers. Britain and America not only import opium to China, but also dump a lot of foreign cigarettes. According to statistics, at that time, only Yunnan Province was paid 52,000 yuan by British American Tobacco Company. The only way to change this situation is to start a tobacco company with its own brand. Now there is a park in Kunming called Yuyuan Garden. It used to be a luxurious private house, and its owner was once the history of Yunnan Tobacco. Yu Zeng founded a tobacco company named "South" in Shanghai, and produced six cigarette brands named after Kunming scenic spots, such as Jinma, Humen and Cuihu. 1922 went back to Kunming to attend the funeral of the assassinated second brother. With Tang's support, Yu used part of the land and all the real estate of Yuyuan Garden as collateral, borrowed150,000 yuan, bought the most advanced cigarette production equipment from Shanghai at that time, and hired cigarette teachers and recruited more than 50 workers from all over the world. After intense preparation, a tobacco company named "Asia" was born in the autumn of 1922. The establishment of "Asia" tobacco company marks that Yunnan cigarettes have entered the era of mechanism from manual production. The Yu family is a big family, and most of their descendants live abroad. Coincidentally, at the time of filming this film, it happened that Yu's family held a large party in Kunming, so the director of Yunnan TV station got a very rare photo of Yu. Even more coincidentally, the actor selected by the director in the early stage to "reproduce" Yu in the film is strikingly similar to Yu in the photo. From the establishment of the first machine-made cigarette factory in Yunnan to 1,1July, 958, "Yunyan" was officially put into production. In this land of Yunnan, domestic cigarettes that can compete with foreign cigarettes have finally been produced.
