Meixian County is the historical name of Meishan City in the early Ming Dynasty. In the ninth year of Hongwu in the Ming Dynasty (1376), Meizhou was reduced to Meixian, which belonged to Jiading. In ten years, Pengshan and Dan Ling merged into Meixian County. 13 years, Meixian county was re-promoted to Meizhou, directly under the Sichuan Municipal Council.
