History of Dongyuan Town, Hui’an County

There is a prosperous Chengmei Ancient Street in Dongyuan Town, Hui'an. It was built more than a hundred years ago, with a total length of more than 140 meters. Dongyuan is an important industrial and commercial town in Huinan, and Chengmei Street is called the "Zhongshan Road" of Dongyuan. Overseas Chinese in Dongyuan have been going abroad for more than a hundred years, mostly to the Philippines, Penang and Singapore.

Today, the descendants of our ancestors miss their hometown of Tangshan and travel through thousands of rivers and mountains to find their roots and worship their ancestors, which shows the deep blood ties.

A legend worth mentioning: By the ancient port of Xudaitou, there lived a family named Jin. Jikao was a descendant of the three sages and four sages of the *** missionaries. Shi) was moved here to guard the ancestral graves.
