The 2022 national examination guide stipulates that:

The age requirements for people's police posts in public security organs, prisons and administrative organs of compulsory isolation drug rehabilitation centers at or above the provincial level are generally 18 years old and 35 years old (born between 1985 and 10 in 2003), and the newly recruited master's and doctoral students (non-on-the-job personnel) are relaxed to 42 years old.

The age requirement for people's police positions in public security organs at or below the city (prefecture) level is generally under 30 years old (that is, born after 1990 10), and in 2022, the new master's and doctoral students (not working) and the positions for applying for forensic medicine are relaxed to under 35 years old (1985 10)

The post age of public security special police is required to be under 25 years old (born after 1995 10).

The age requirement for the first-line police posts in prisons and compulsory isolation drug rehabilitation centers in judicial administrative departments is generally under 30 years old (19901born after 0/0). In 2022, special posts such as new master's and doctoral students (off-the-job), prison doctors and psychological correction will be relaxed to under 35 years old (i.e. 1985 65438).
