Formerly known as Yixing Dongshan Senior High School, it was founded in 1994. In February 2005, it was named as Yixing Key High School by Yixing Municipal People's Government and confirmed as a three-star high school in Jiangsu Province by the Provincial Department of Education in February 2005.
