The newly-built elevated waiting room is 6,500 square meters, the projected area of the platform column canopy is 209 10 square meter, and the waiting capacity is 5,000 people.

There are 4 escalators, 4 security devices, 4 automatic ticket gates and 750 waiting seats in the waiting room of Wuxi Railway Station. In addition, monitoring equipment, information equipment, fire fighting, air conditioning and other equipment are complete. After the transformation, Wuxi Station implemented the waiting mode of "getting on and off". By adding a door bucket, the problem of crowded and cramped space at the entrance of the old station building in South Square was solved.
