Gongyuan Primary School has had a glorious history during its more than 110 years of existence. The school was founded in 1903. It was originally the "Tongzhou Government Primary School". In 1927, it was renamed the "Jingzhao Women's Normal School" Affiliated Primary School. In April 1922, the school was named the Jingzhao Women's Normal School Affiliated Primary School.
