Procedure for calling pilot station

The ship calls the pilot station through VHF CH 12 channel 2 hours before the arrival of the port to inquire about the berthing plan and water diversion time.

Tianjin Port is a seaport and river port. The pilot area is wide, the navigation route is long, the port is complex in hydrology and topography, and the working conditions are difficult. The special conditions and natural environment of Tianjin Port require pilots not only to have a strong sense of professionalism and responsibility, but also to have a solid professional theoretical foundation, rich practical experience and excellent pilotage technology.

At present, the pilot station has 58 registered employees and 43 certified pilots, which are divided into four grades: senior, first, second and third.
