When did Pengcheng University change its name to xuzhou institute of technology?

In March 2005, Pengcheng University was renamed xuzhou institute of technology. 1983 Pengcheng Vocational College was established.

Xuzhou institute of technology, located in Xuzhou City, Jiangsu Province, is an important node city of the National Belt and Road Initiative, a national historical and cultural city and a central city of Huaihai Economic Zone. The school started in 1959 and was upgraded to a full-time undergraduate college with the approval of the Ministry of Education in 2002. It is a pilot university for the implementation of the national excellent engineer education and training plan and the national integration of production and education development project.

The school actively participated in the construction of local culture, held two high-level forums on China's intangible cultural heritage, and was approved as the first batch of intangible cultural heritage research bases in Jiangsu Province. By the end of 20 16 and 12, xuzhou institute of technology has established cooperative relations with 20 universities and institutions in the United States, Russian Federation, Germany and other 13 countries and regions.
