Why is it a prefecture-level "Hechi City" instead of a prefecture-level "Yizhou City"?

Foreword:

Today, the author explains to readers that Hechi City is a prefecture-level city located in the northwest of Guangxi. Speaking of Hechi City, people in Guangxi know that it is a prefecture-level city under the jurisdiction of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region. But everyone in Hechi knows that this prefecture-level city is almost always called Yizhou City, not Hechi City. Due to historical reasons, the author will explain it to readers.

1. Today's prefecture-level "Hechi City" history:

Discussion: Why is it a prefecture-level "Hechi City" instead of a prefecture-level "Yizhou City"? Then the author should first explain it from the history of Hechi City.

The author simply said that today's prefecture-level "Hechi City" has always been called "Yizhou" or "Qingyuan House" in ancient times. Yizhou or Qingyuan House is located in Yizhou City (now Yizhou District).

(A) Tang Dynasty: the establishment of "Yizhou"

① The author looked through the relevant historical records and found that Yizhou was first set up in the fourth year of Zhenguan in Tang Dynasty (that is, AD 630): Emperor Taizong Li Shimin set up Yizhou and Longshui County in Hechi City today, and Yizhou governed Longshui County.

(2) However, I don't know how many counties there are in Yizhou, because there are too few relevant historical records.

(3) This is the first time that Hechi City has established a "state", which is the beginning of the establishment of a state in Hechi City.

(B) Song Dynasty: "Yizhou" was promoted to "qingyuan prefecture"

(1) In the fifth year of the Southern Song Dynasty, namely 1264, Zhao Yun of Song Lizong was promoted to "Yizhou" as "qingyuan prefecture" and ruled Yishan County. Readers can't help wondering, what kind of administrative levels were the "states" and "counties" in the Song Dynasty?

(2) The administrative divisions of the Song Dynasty are generally studied: land government, prefectures and counties. That is to say, "Tao" in Song Dynasty is equivalent to "provincial administrative region" in later generations, and "Fu" and "Zhou" are equivalent to "prefecture-level administrative region" in later generations. Among them, the position of "Fu" is slightly higher than that of "Zhou". In the Song Dynasty, only the national capital, the capital, the place where the emperor was born, lived and visited, and important states could be changed to the government.

From this, the author thinks that the position of Qingyuan House (now Hechi City) in the Song Dynasty is quite high and important.

(3) Yuan Dynasty: In today's Hechi City, the "Qingyuan Road Governor's Office" was established.

① During the Yuan Dynasty, there were two "prefecture-level administrative units" in Hechi City today: Qingyuan Anfu Department (managing Yishan County) and Nandan appeasement Department (managing Nandan County).

② After that, "Qingyuan Anfu Division (managing Yishan County)" was upgraded to "Qingyuan Road Governor's Office", and the government still managed Yishan County. When readers see this, they can't help wondering, what was the administrative level of Tao in the Yuan Dynasty?

(3) The author roughly studied the administrative divisions of the Yuan Dynasty: the four-level division system of province-road (Zhilifu, Zhou Zhili)-state and state-county was the main one. Therefore, the "General Government of Qingyuan Road" in the Yuan Dynasty was between the later "provincial administrative regions" and "prefecture-level administrative regions".

(4) In the Ming Dynasty, the military and civilian appeasement department of Danxidong in Qingyuan South (now Hechi City) was changed to Qingyuan House, which governed Yishan County.

(5) During the Qing Dynasty:

The author found that Hechi City belonged to at least four "prefecture-level cities" in Qing Dynasty.

(1) Jinchengjiang District, Yizhou District, Huanjiang County, Luocheng County, Donglan County, Bama County, Fengshan County, Du 'an County, Nandan County and Tian 'e County belong to Qingyuan Prefecture (under the jurisdiction of Yishan County).

(2) Part of Luocheng County belongs to Liuzhou area.

(3) A part of Tian 'e County belongs to Sichengfu.

(4) Part of Bama County belongs to Si 'enfu and Baise Zhili Hall.

⑤ Fengshan County is part of Sichengfu and Baise Zhili Hall.

⑥ Du 'an County belongs to Si 'enfu (Anding Soil Inspection Office).

⑦ Dahua County belongs to Si 'en House (Duyang Soil Inspection Office).

(6) During the Republic of China, Yishan Militia Zone, Tenth Administrative Supervision Zone and Twelfth Administrative Supervision Zone were established.

(1) In today's Hechi City, "Yishan Mintuan District" is set up, and the district governance is still Yishan County, with 8 counties under its jurisdiction.

(2) In Hechi City today, the Tenth Administrative Supervision Zone has been established, and the district is still Yishan County, which governs 8 counties.

(3) In today's Hechi City, in addition to the original "Tenth Administrative Supervision District" (under the jurisdiction of Yishan County). Another "Twelfth Administrative Inspector District" is established, which governs Fengshan County, Donglan County, Wan Gang County, Fengshan County, Leye County and Tiane County.

It can be seen that Fengshan County, as a "prefecture-level administrative region" during the Republic of China, also had a good life. What about "Wangang County"? Today, there is no "Wangang County" in Hechi City and Guangxi. The author consulted relevant historical records and found that "Wangang County" was the predecessor of Bama Yao Autonomous County.

2. The establishment of today's prefecture-level Hechi City:

(a) "Yishan area":

(1) After the founding of New China, Hechi City still uses the name of Qingyuan, which has a history of nearly 1,000 years, and established Qingyuan Special Zone in Hechi City today, and the district is also located in the old traditional "Yishan County" (especially Qingyuan Town of Yishan County).

② After that, "Qingyuan area" was changed to "Yishan area", covering nine counties.

③ Why did you change it to "Yishan Zone"?

The author thinks: 1. The name "Yishan" is as old as "Qingyuan" and the name "Yizhou" appeared earlier than "Qingyuan". 2. "Yishan" has always been the government of "Qingyuan House" in history, and it is also deeply rooted in the hearts of the people. 3. "Qingyuan Special Zone" governs "Yishan County" and is simply renamed "Yishan Special Zone".

(b) expanding "suitable mountain areas":

(1)1In August 1952, Liuzhou District was actually abolished (I think Liuzhou people must be "cool" at that time), and all counties under its jurisdiction except Luzhai County were merged into "Yishan District", and the number of counties under its jurisdiction suddenly increased to 15.

(2) The author finds that this is the time when Hechi City has the largest jurisdiction area and the largest number of counties in history (that is, most of Hechi City and Liuzhou City today). It can be said that this is the most glorious time of "Yishan Special Zone" (now Hechi City).

③ "Yishan Zone" has been moved to Liuzhou;

①1July, 958, the office of "Yishan Special Zone" moved out of Yishan County (now Yizhou District) and moved to Liuzhou City. "Yishan District" was also renamed as "Liuzhou District".

The author thinks that at this time, it is the turn of Hechi people, especially Yizhou people (then "Yishan Special Zone") to feel "cool", cool and cool. How did the "Yishan Zone" escape? How did you escape? "Yishan" ran away, so what was the original "Yishan"?

(d) The new district was established and named "Hechi District"

(1)1May, 196518th, the State Council established a new district in the original "Yishan" area (now the jurisdiction of Hechi City) and named it "Hechi Area". "Hechi District" is under the jurisdiction of Jin Chengjiang Town, Hechi County, and is now Jin Chengjiang Town, Jinchengjiang District, Hechi City.

② "Hechi Zone" governs 10 counties. It was also at this time that the territory of Hechi City was reduced from the brilliant county of 15 (Yishan period 1952) to the original county of 10, and it was suddenly returned to its original shape.

(five) the establishment of prefecture-level "Hechi City":

① On June 18, 2002, with the approval of the State Council, the original Hechi area was abolished and a new prefecture-level Hechi city was established.

(2) Hechi City, a prefecture-level city, governs 1 1 counties (cities, districts).

3. Why is it a prefecture-level "Hechi City" instead of a prefecture-level "Yizhou City"?

(A) I think the distance factor:

(1) The newly established prefecture-level city, its distance (or its governance) is bound to distance itself from Liuzhou.

(2) The author expounds the history of Hechi City today. To put it simply, Hechi City and Liuzhou City merged today (1952 "Yishan District" period), and the two brothers separated again.

(3) Therefore, the newly established prefecture-level cities must be far away from Liuzhou. The result of being far away from Liuzhou is far away from Yishan County (formerly "Yishan Special Zone").

(4) And the new prefecture-level city is far away from Yishan County (the former "Yishan Special Zone" city), so the name of this new prefecture-level city is unlikely to be called "Yishan (or Yizhou)" because the city is no longer there.

(2) I think geographical factors:

① Yishan County (formerly Yishan Special Zone) 1952 The former Liuzhou Special Zone was located in the center when it was merged into Yishan Special Zone.

(2) After leaving Liuzhou, the original Yishan County suddenly left the center. After Liuzhou area (Liuzhou Special Zone) was demarcated, among the rest areas, the original Yishan County is located in the east of the new prefecture-level city, which can be said to be the east of the new prefecture-level city.

③ The former Yishan County is not in the center of the new prefecture-level city, but far away from Tiane County, Nandan County, Fengshan County, donglan County, Bama County and Dahua County under the jurisdiction of the new prefecture-level city. The author probably estimated that these counties account for about half of the newly added prefecture-level cities.

(3) In addition to the original Yishan, Nandan County is also qualified.

① "Nandan County": In the historical explanation of today's Hechi City, the author said that in the Yuan Dynasty, there was a "Nandan appeasement department" in today's Hechi City to administer Nandan County. This "appeasement department" is equivalent to the "prefecture-level city administrative region" of later generations.

Therefore, the author believes that from a historical perspective, Nandan County has always been a "prefecture-level city administrative region" in history and is eligible to be selected as a new prefecture-level city.

(3) However, due to the geographical location of Nandan County, it is impossible for the new prefecture-level city government to choose Nandan County.

(4) "Fengshan County" is also qualified:

(1) or from the author explained in front of the history of today's Hechi City, during the Republic of China, there was another "Twelfth Administrative Supervision Zone" in today's Hechi City, which governed Fengshan County, Donglan County, Wan Gang County, Fengshan County, Leye County and Tiane County.

② In today's Hechi City, the Tenth Administrative Supervision Area (under the jurisdiction of Yishan County) and the Twelfth Administrative Supervision Area (under the jurisdiction of Fengshan County) coexist.

The author believes that from a historical point of view, Fengshan County was once a "prefecture-level city administrative region" in history, and it is also eligible to be selected as a new prefecture-level city.

However, the author thinks that Fengshan County, like Nandan County, is geographically biased, and Fengshan County is located to the west of the new prefecture-level city, which is too far west. Therefore, "Fengshan County" has also been ruled out.

(5) Choose Hechi County (now Jinchengjiang District)

The author thinks that Hechi county is chosen because it is in the center of the new city.

② Hechi County (now Jinchengjiang District) is not far from the east, west, north and south. Its central position is very conducive to the management and development of new prefecture-level cities.

Moreover, the author thinks that the main reason is that the predecessor of the new prefecture-level city has been called "Hechi area" and called "Hechi", which has great advantages.

As a result, the new prefecture-level city finally settled in Hechi County. Because it is located in Hechi County, the new prefecture-level city is naturally called Hechi City, not Yizhou City.

4. In fact, the most popular new prefecture-level city at that time was called Yizhou City, which is said to have almost succeeded:

(1) The author listened to the local old man in Hechi City. In fact, at that time, the voice of the new prefecture-level city called "Yizhou City" was the highest.

(2) Yishan and Qingyuan have a history of thousands of years. As the author said in his historical interpretation of today's Hechi City, in ancient times, today's Hechi City has always been called "Qingyuan House" and its government has always been "Yishan County". It can be said that "Yishan" and "Qingyuan" have long been deeply rooted in people's hearts.

(3) However, in Hechi City, Yishan failed to win the name of the new district as "Yishan" and "Yishan Area". It was taken by Hechi, and the new district is called "Hechi District". As the saying goes, it is reasonable to change the name of the new prefecture-level city from "Hechi Area" to "Hechi City". Yishan (Yizhou) is becoming more and more correct.

(4) From the grand "state capital" to the "county" (and Liuzhou was merged in glory), in just a few decades, Yishan (Yizhou) at that time fell from the cloud to the bottom of the cloud and cried in the toilet.

(5) Fortunately, now that the administration of Hechi City has moved to Yizhou (now Yizhou District), Yizhou feels much better. Although the prefecture-level city is still called Hechi City, it is not called Yizhou City, but Yizhou has returned to its old job: back to the seat of the "state government". It can be seen that Yizhou, as the "state capital" for nearly a thousand years, still has a profound foundation and strength, and it is also deeply rooted in the hearts of the people and is widely expected.
