Excuse me, what is the use of the budget officer's card? What's the difference between it and the cost certificate? Is this useful for finding a job?

First of all, the nature of work is different

The budget officer estimates the investment of the project before construction, and the cost officer consults (reviews) the actual cost of the project after the project is completed. Cost engineers can also engage in budget work, but budget engineers cannot engage in cost consultation.

Second, the work unit is different.

Budget personnel generally work in construction enterprises, and cost personnel generally work in cost consulting enterprises.

Third, the certificates are different.

The budget officer is a certificate printed and issued by the Hubei Provincial Construction Department. The cost engineer is a certificate of China Cost Consulting Association (China Price Association) and issued by Hubei Cost Management Station.

Budgeting staff is a training certificate for key positions in the construction industry in Hubei Province, and they must attend the training and pass the examination before issuing certificates. The cost engineer is a national cost engineer qualification certificate, and there is no training requirement.

Fifth, the application conditions are different.

The budgeter basically does not limit the conditions for entering the exam and does not require relevant work experience. Cost engineers have strict application conditions, and non-cost majors must have more than one year of cost-related work experience.

Sixth, the use of teaching materials is different.

The budgeter uses the textbook compiled by the Hubei Provincial Construction Department, the examination outline and basic knowledge of cost for the cost maker are the national unified textbooks compiled by the China Price Association, and the measurement and valuation are the textbooks compiled by the provincial cost station.
