Is it difficult for graduates of Peking University to find jobs?
Sun Jing, female, a 98-year undergraduate from Guanghua School of Management, Peking University, was recommended to graduate students in 22, and now she works for Monitor Group. In her My Failure and Greatness, Rene Liu sang, "Sometimes love will fail, as long as it is true love ..." Looking back at the experience of finding a job, I feel the same: savoring the taste, or being happy or being great. Until the dust settles, the offer in hand seems to be no longer so important. What is precious is the experience of sincere struggle and hard work, and the experience of fighting again and again after repeated failures.
One of my failures
Whether my attitude is positive or not is not only reflected in my mouth.
I remember that at the end of 23, I complained to a classmate who graduated from college that my luck was too bad and I was rejected by several companies without rhyme or reason. Complaining that ChinaHR didn't give me a written test or interview, I could only watch many good companies slip away from me.
After listening to my complaint, my friend calmly said to me, "Count carefully. Today, there are only a dozen companies you have invested in, and you can count the campus job fairs you have attended. Under such circumstances, you have already got an offer, and you are lucky. Don't just say that ChinaHR doesn't give opportunities, but also ask yourself if you have tried your best. For example, in a company recruited by ChinaHR, you obviously know the people who work in this company. It is not too difficult to get a written test opportunity through acquaintances, not to mention that many companies also value internal recommendation. Also, we have classmates working in the bank where you are interviewing. Why don't you ask him about the company and understand the characteristics of the interview and interviewer? "
my second failure
don't trust deadline, and don't do it at the last moment.
I personally sent my resume to a top consulting company on the last day of the deadline, but I didn't get an interview. Later, I asked someone to find out. On the last day, HR, who was in charge of recruitment, went on vacation. That is to say, all the resumes submitted on the last day were not sent to him at all, and of course there would be no opportunity for an interview at all.
Make sure to collect sufficient information and submit your resume in time. Find a notebook and list the things that must be done every day. For example, what company briefing is held today, when and where, and which companies have submitted their resumes to deadline. Written tests and interviews arranged by different companies should be recorded in time. Besides recording things, we should also arrange our time reasonably. Rank everything in order of importance, which will remind you which ones must be completed and which ones can be put aside a little.
my third failure
selectively submitting my resume is selective on the basis of a certain amount.
it's really annoying to sit in front of the computer and search the information of BBS, employment guidance centers of schools and departments, websites for job hunting and websites of companies, and fill out online recruitment forms of companies.
What's more, some companies need to use agents to access their websites through the campus network, and the internet speed is extremely slow, so they have to fill it out in several steps. Some companies want you to write some English compositions when recruiting, and some companies are really recruiting for essays. In addition, they have to get up early to prepare and attend briefing sessions, written tests and interviews. At that time, the only feeling was-God, can you give me more time? Every day is as stressful as a war, only to find that some companies have missed it, and some companies simply give up because the application is too troublesome.
In fact, it's good to submit resumes selectively, but even if you don't cast a net comprehensively, you must ensure a certain amount.
One of my failures
I really didn't expect that a book would be so helpful to myself.
it never occurred to me that I should look for books about job hunting before looking for a job. But one day, when I picked up a job-hunting guide book that looked like ×× Job-hunting Collection by mistake, I found that I couldn't put it down. The introduction in the book is comprehensive, covering everything from pre-preparation to actual combat exercises, supplemented by the appearance of job seekers, which is vivid and true; It even includes the economic management knowledge that job seekers need to prepare for the interview. Although I studied these things, many concepts and models have been unfamiliar for a long time. I really feel benefited from picking up books and leafing through them, and I feel beneficial in the next interview.
My No.2 failure
I sincerely thank my friends who helped me in my job search.
Many people must have heard of "job search support groups" or similar small groups, and there are many on BBS. We started a group consisting of five students from the same college. The five of us are familiar with each other's backgrounds, have similar job hunting intentions, are more targeted in preparation, and dare to point out some shortcomings of each other directly. We will simulate Case Interview, study the details such as dress and body language during the interview, and encourage each other. Whoever has an interview next will focus on helping them prepare.
My No.3 Failure
Face the rejection letter with confidence.
It's difficult to find a job, and you have to bear the psychological blow of failure. Every time I look at the loss of time, the phone call to inform the next round of interview is slow, which makes people feel on pins and needles; Every time I open my mailbox, I get a rejection letter full of praise, which makes people feel even more ironic. I believe many people have experienced that kind of depression.
I want to emphasize that we must keep a good attitude. It is inevitable that there will be human factors in the recruitment of re-programmed companies, which is very random. Your failure to go to that company definitely does not mean that you are really not good enough.
