Pockmarked Dream (once translated as Poké mon) has other common unofficial translations: Pokemon (once translated as Chinese mainland), Pet Elf (once translated as Hongkong, China) and Poké mon (once translated as Taiwan Province Province, China). It is a series of games developed by Game Freak and Biology Co., Ltd. and released by Nintendo. It is the main part of Baokemeng Media's works. The original work is 1996 Game Boy role-playing game released in Japan.

The Pockmarked Dream series runs through Nintendo's handhelds for generations. Series games are usually sold in pairs (with differences), and repeated versions often appear several years after the first version of the game is released. The main series of games consists of role-playing games, while the sub-series of games includes other types, such as action role-playing games, puzzle games, electronic pets and so on.
