Where is Changyu wine produced?

Yantai City, Shandong Province. According to the query of Changyu Wine official website, Yantai Changyu Group Co., Ltd. was formerly Yantai Changyu Brewing Company, the first industrialized wine producer in China, and was founded by Mr. Zhang Bishi, a patriotic overseas Chinese leader in modern China. 1892, Zhang Bishi invested 3 million taels of silver to establish Changyu Brewing Company in Yantai. The business license was personally signed and approved by Zhili Governor, Beiyang Minister Li Hongzhang and Wang Wenshao, an important official of the Qing court. The name of the company was written by Weng Tonghe, the teacher of Emperor Guangxu, then Minister of Commerce and Minister of Military Aircraft. The word "Changyu" is named Zhang, which means Changyu is prosperous. The establishment of Changyu Company was recorded by Beijing China Millennium Monument as one of the four major events in China in 1892. It has developed into a diversified group enterprise and is the largest wine producer in China and Asia.
