Medical College of Nanjing University, formerly known as Central University Medical College, was founded in 1935 and renamed Nanjing University Medical College after 1949. It was placed under the military system in 195 1 and was rebuilt with the approval of the Ministry of Education (formerly the State Education Commission) in 1987, becoming the Ministry of Education (formerly the state).
