The "sea fighter" high-speed boat was originally called the experimental littoral support boat, and later renamed the X boat. The main purpose of the US Navy's construction of "Sea Fighter" high-speed craft is to demonstrate and evaluate the hydrodynamic performance, structural characteristics and propulsion system efficiency of advanced high-speed warship technology as a ship to reduce risks.

X-boat "sea fighter" high-speed catamaran can be deployed independently, with a range of up to 4000 nautical miles, without refueling. The upper deck of X boat can accommodate two helicopters.
