What is asynchronous flotation?

Essentially, it is a two-step flotation process, which is applied according to the difference of ore properties and the special requirements of smelters for products. It is a new technology developed on the basis of equal floating process. Unlike mixed flotation, which allows lead and zinc to float simultaneously, it does not allow all lead to float simultaneously, and does not allow zinc and sulfur with equal floatability to float simultaneously. Instead, the best flotation conditions are created step by step for galena and sphalerite in different operations, and both solutions exist in the first and second steps. Asynchronous flotation is suitable for polymetallic ores to improve the recovery rate of associated gold and silver or obtain mixed concentrate products, which can reduce the loss of mutual inclusion and improve economic benefits.
