? A father said to his son, I want to find you a wife.

The son said, I want to find it myself!

Father said, is this girl Bill? Gates' daughter

The son said, if so, yes.

Father found Bill? Gates said, I found a husband for your daughter.

Bill? Gates said, no, my daughter is still young!

The father said, but this young man is the vice president of the World Bank!

Bill? Gates said, ah, if so, that's good!

Finally, my father found the president of the World Bank and said, I recommend a vice president for you!

The president said, I have too many vice presidents, redundant!

Father said, but this young man is Bill? Gates' son-in-law

The president said, well, ok!

Although this is just a joke, it tells us that if we solve the needs of others, our own needs will naturally be solved! What does work mean in modern society? For some people, it is the source of income to support their families, for some people, it is the guarantee to improve their quality of life, for some people, it is a means of socializing, for some people, it is a process to realize their personal ideals, and even some people work to escape. Because everyone has different needs for work, work brings different things to everyone.

American psychologist Maslow's hierarchy of needs theory has two basic arguments:

1. People are animals in need. His needs depend on what he has got and what he still lacks. Only unmet needs can affect his behavior.

2. People's needs have light and heavy levels. After the needs of one level are met, the needs of another level will appear. Maslow believes that at a certain moment, if all human needs are not met, it is more urgent to meet the most important needs than to meet other needs.

Maslow divides needs into five levels: physiological needs, safety needs, emotional needs, respect needs and self-realization needs.

China people are used to saying that looking for a job is looking for a job, while looking for a job in western countries is called looking for a job, but it does not mean looking for a job. In China with a huge population base, the competition for good jobs is really fierce. Many people think that personal ability is often not the most important factor (in fact, personal ability refers to a person's ability to mobilize various social resources), and they automatically put themselves in the position of vulnerable groups, turning an interview process that requires two-way communication and two-way choice into a one-sided interrogation process. The root cause is that for many people, work only means low-level needs.

The interview process in the west is generally a two-way communication and selection process. Companies choose employees, and employees also choose companies. Interview is a process of self-promotion by the interviewee. In a successful promotion process, besides the quality of products, the factors such as the salesman's full preparation, basic quality, sales skills, transaction price and after-sales service are also very important. Of course, the formation of this culture is also related to the generally high material level in western countries.

Demand determines willingness. It should be emphasized that the success of sales is not directly proportional to the wishes of promoters. For example, a stranger tells you that he hasn't eaten for several days and needs money badly. I hope you can give him 100 yuan for dinner. Will you give it? You can only give him 1 or 2 yuan at most. But if a famous rich man like Buffett asks you to invest, I believe you will not miss this opportunity and will be willing to give him all your money. By the same token, those people in black coal mines need to dig coal very much, but as an undergraduate, you will not consider it at all, because neither the working environment, salary, welfare guarantee, future promotion opportunities nor the decent level of work can meet your needs, but if Microsoft or Google offer a developer position, I believe most college students will gladly accept it, even if the salary is low, because the working experience of big companies is enough to meet the demand. The boss of Caicai Group once told me that the Whampoa Military Academy, which is said to be imported from China Chemical Industry, can easily get senior management positions in foreign-funded enterprises after working in the company for several years.

Among the students I have coached, there is a common interview question. They will fall in love with a company that didn't succeed in the interview at first sight, and tell me how suitable this company is for him or her, how close it is to home, how famous the company is, how well the position fits with their education and experience, and so on. Especially female students, need to work for various reasons. Some said that her mother-in-law would let her go home to have children without looking for a job, while others said that her husband had no money to stock up on goods without looking for a job. It is not a bad thing to be eager to get a position, but it is followed by anxiety and anxiety, fearing that you will not get a position. No matter how badly you need to work and why you need to work, if you don't tell the interviewer how to solve the employer's needs with the mentality of solving your own needs, it is estimated that the interviewer will tell you: we are not a refuge.

So please remember: the position is not sought! Getting a position has nothing to do with your need for it.

You have the need to get a position, the employer has the need to recruit talents, and if the employer's needs are solved, your needs will naturally be solved. Is it difficult for you to find a suitable job, or is it difficult for enterprises or employers to find suitable talents?

I remember a popular saying by a football commentator: I just add up the number of goals scored and the number of goals conceded by the China team. Surprisingly, they are the same. What I want to tell you is that it is as difficult for you to find a satisfactory job as it is for your employer to recruit a satisfactory talent!

Let's first look at the personal application cost and the enterprise recruitment cost: the personal application cost is basically the transportation fee and two hours for each interview or job fair, but the recruitment cost is far from what most people can imagine. Usually, the recruitment process of a company is as follows: the department submits a recruitment application, the HR department studies and approves it, posts job requirements, participates in job fairs or entrusts headhunters, the first round of telephone interviews, the second round of HR interviews, the third round of technical interviews, the fourth round of management interviews, and even some companies like Huawei have more interview processes (a technical manager said that he had participated in Huawei's interviews, but after five rounds, the defendant gave up without knowing how many rounds were left). Statistics show that the average cost for an enterprise to recruit a suitable talent is $30,000. In order to save time and cost, some companies hand over the first few processes in the recruitment process to headhunting companies, which are only responsible for human resources, technical interviews and management interviews. In North America, headhunting companies only do pre-screening work, and the average fee charged to enterprises is more than $0/10,000 per person hired.

As we all know, considering the time factor, the employer's cost should be diluted. The fewer times a position is recruited in a period of time, the lower the cost. If a person has only stayed with his employer for three months, but his ass is not hot, the employer's cost is the highest, because the financial cost is obvious, and the project progress may be delayed, which is immeasurable.

Someone asked Bailey: What is your best goal in life? Bailey replied: Next. For interviewers, a good job is hard to find, and for employers, a good person is hard to find. Every employer wants to find the most suitable one. But there is no standard at all, so everyone has the next complex. Which is more difficult to find a good job, a good year or a bad year? The answer is just as difficult. In my experience, it is easier when the years are bad, because the standards for employers to recruit people in good years are lower, and the importance of positions has also declined. When the years are bad, employers are more cautious in recruiting people, and the importance of positions has increased. The world is conservative, and only balance can be stable.

There is an old saying in China: There is no room for a big bodhisattva in a small temple. Please remember: the most suitable talents are not necessarily the best learners or the most skilled!

Although many people have been trained for many interviews, they still complain that they can't overcome their nervousness before the interview. According to years of teaching experience, I think there are two reasons for being nervous: first, I really want to get that position; Second, I have no bottom in my heart and don't understand what is about to happen. I don't know much about the upcoming interview, whether it is the process, the interview questions to be asked during the interview or the employment standards of the recruiting unit, which is also the main reason for my nervousness.

If you know the needs of the employer, the advantages of solving the other party's needs, the interview process, the problems and the solutions before the interview, you will naturally not be nervous.

In fact, the pressure of the human resources department is very great, because this department directly affects the company's cost and talent reserve, so please remember one sentence: the interviewer is as nervous as you are. Forget that I need a job, and tell others loudly: Work needs me!

A good company can't be fooled. You must be cheating a bad company.
