Xinjiang Axi Gold Mine, now renamed as Western Gold Yili Branch, is located 30 kilometers north-east of Yining County. It is a modern gold production enterprise integrating mining, selection and smelting. From 1985 to 1987, the Third Team of the First Regional Geological Survey Brigade of the Xinjiang Bureau of Geology and Mineral Resources carried out a 1:200,000 regional geological survey in L-44-34 (Sailim Lake), and no gold mineralization was found (Sailim Lake).
