Article 84 Whoever, in violation of the provisions of this Law, commits any of the following acts shall be ordered by the competent department of earthquake work in the State Council or the department or institution in charge of earthquake work of the local people's government at or above the county level to stop the illegal act, restore the original state or take other remedial measures; If losses are caused, it shall be liable for compensation according to law:

(a) occupation, damage, demolition or unauthorized movement of earthquake monitoring facilities;

(2) Endangering the environment for earthquake observation;

(three) the destruction of typical earthquake sites and relics.

Units with illegal acts listed in the preceding paragraph, if the circumstances are serious, impose a fine of 20 thousand yuan and 200 thousand yuan; Individuals who commit illegal acts listed in the preceding paragraph, if the circumstances are serious, shall be fined up to 2,000 yuan. If it constitutes a violation of public security administration, it shall be punished by the public security organ according to law.

Article 85 Whoever, in violation of the provisions of this Law, fails to build additional anti-interference facilities or new earthquake monitoring facilities as required shall be ordered by the competent department of earthquake work in the State Council or the department or institution in charge of earthquake work of the local people's government at or above the county level to make corrections within a time limit; If no correction is made within the time limit, a fine of 20 thousand yuan or more and 200 thousand yuan or less shall be imposed; If losses are caused, it shall be liable for compensation according to law.

Article 86 If, in violation of the provisions of this Law, an overseas organization or individual engages in earthquake monitoring activities in People's Republic of China (PRC) and other sea areas under the jurisdiction of People's Republic of China (PRC) without approval, the competent department of earthquake work in the State Council shall order it to stop the illegal act, confiscate the monitoring results and monitoring facilities, and impose a fine of not less than 10,000 yuan but not more than 100,000 yuan; If the circumstances are serious, a fine of not less than one hundred thousand yuan but not more than five hundred thousand yuan shall be imposed.

Foreigners who commit the acts listed in the preceding paragraph shall be punished in accordance with the provisions of the preceding paragraph, and their stay in People's Republic of China (PRC) shall be shortened or their residence qualification in People's Republic of China (PRC) shall be revoked in accordance with the provisions of the Law on the Entry and Exit of Foreigners; If the circumstances are serious, leave the country within a time limit or be deported.

Article 87 If seismic safety evaluation is not carried out according to law, or seismic fortification is not carried out according to the seismic safety evaluation report, the competent department of seismic work in the State Council or the department or institution in charge of seismic work of the local people's government at or above the county level shall order it to make corrections within a time limit; If no correction is made within the time limit, a fine of not less than 30,000 yuan but not more than 300,000 yuan shall be imposed.

Article 88 Whoever, in violation of the provisions of this Law, disseminates earthquake prediction opinions, earthquake prediction opinions and their evaluation results to the society, or disturbs social order in post-earthquake transitional resettlement and post-earthquake recovery and reconstruction, which constitutes a violation of public security administration, shall be punished by public security organs according to law.

Article 89 If the local people's governments at or above the county level in the earthquake-stricken areas report late, make false reports or conceal information such as the earthquake situation and disaster situation, the people's governments at higher levels shall order them to make corrections; The directly responsible person in charge and other directly responsible personnel shall be punished according to law.

Article 90 Whoever embezzles, intercepts or misappropriates funds and materials for earthquake emergency rescue, post-earthquake transitional resettlement or post-earthquake recovery and reconstruction shall be ordered by the financial department and audit institution to make corrections within their respective functions and duties, and recover the embezzled, intercepted and misappropriated funds and materials; Illegal income, confiscate the illegal income; Give a warning or informed criticism to the unit; The directly responsible person in charge and other directly responsible personnel shall be punished according to law.

Article 91 Whoever violates the provisions of this Law and constitutes a crime shall be investigated for criminal responsibility according to law.
